In the movie, Ted Bundy (Mark Harmon), while incarcerated in Colorado, asks Richard Larsen (George Grizzard) where someone is most likely to be executed, to which Larsen replied, "Maybe Florida". Larsen's answer presumably sets in motion Bundy's second jail escape from Colorado, and his eventual cross-country journey to Florida. In reality, Bundy did have this conversation before escaping jail for the second time, but it was with his personal lawyer, John Henry Browne, who brought up Florida as a possibility.
