In the "Meet Cable" trailer Deadpool yells at the visual effects department "It's a metal arm! It's not like we're trying to remove a mustache!" in reference to Henry Cavill's infamous CGI mustache removal in Justice League (2017). Deadpool dresses his action figure up like Woody from Toy Story - Il mondo dei giocattoli (1995). The action figures also have "Wade" written on one of their feet, just like Woody has "ANDY" written on the bottom of his. Deadpool yells "Fuck it, I'll do it myself!" and tells the Cable action figure he has the "stones" to help him, as a reference to Cable's actor Josh Brolin also playing Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War (2018) the month before this film was released.
