On the penultimate day of the production shoot, the house in the filming location in Elizabeth Vale, South Australia was broken-into. For a time, it was considered incorporating the break-in into the film but this idea was soon rejected as impractical. After the break-in, director Kriv Stenders reported that the actors' performances were galvanized.
