Rami Malek is the third consecutive actor to play a Bond villain to have won an Oscar, and he is the fifth actor overall to do this. Previous Bond villain actors who have won Oscars and their Bond films include: Benicio Del Toro ('Licence to Kill' (1989)), Christopher Walken ('A View to a Kill (1985)), Christoph Waltz (Spectre (2015), and Javier Bardem (Skyfall (2012)). Robert Shaw ('From Russia with Love' (1963)) and Telly Savalas ("On Her Majesty's Secret Service' (1969)) were both nominated for Academy Awards but didn't win.
