Unlike other Predators, who hunt for honor and trophies, in the script the Super Predators hunt for DNA, which they use to genetically modify themselves to become more powerful hunters. This was later dropped from the film, where the Super Predators still hunt to improve themselves, but also hunt their normal brethren for sport, due to an internal feud. The idea of Predators hunting for DNA was revived in the sequel, The Predator (2018).
