According to the screenwriter, David Engelbach, there was no rape scenes in his original draft. Neither the maid, nor Carol were raped in his vision. In his original draft Carol would have been pursued by the gang, have a flashback of her assault in the first film, and then leaps out a window to escape only to fall to her death. Winner rewrote parts of the script to include the horrific scenes of violations, making Engelbach horrified and furious at the final result.
