David Lynch was offered the chance to direct Il ritorno dello Jedi (1983). Actor Brad Dourif went on to share two roles with its cast. He originated the role of Chucky, a role later played by Mark Hamill. He also played Grima Wormtongue in the Lord of the Rings films, a part played on radio by Paul Brooke.
