This is the first Star Wars film without a physical appearance from Anakin Skywalker or Obi-wan Kenobi, though Kenobi's voice can be heard saying, "Rey, these are your first steps" at one point in the film. However some speculate the voice may have been Darth Sidious imitating Obi-wan, since Sidious reveals he can imitate voices on his first meeting with Kylo Ren in Star Wars IX: Rise of Skywalker.
