Richard Conte later appeared in The Godfather. In the 2000s film series, two characters are named Virgil and Turk, after Virgil "The Turk" Sollozzo, a character in The Godfather. One of them is played by Scott Caan, the son of James Caan. Al Pacino appears in the third film.
