Not until Katherine Helmond won the Golden Globe in 1989 and Alyssa Milano winning the Kids Choice Awards three consecutive years (1988-1990), Judith Light was the only main cast member to be an award winner, she won the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress two consecutive times for One Life To Live, the soap opera she left to film this show. She won the awards in 1980 and 1981.
