Due to being distributed by Warner Brothers, the film was originally supposed to be released on HBO Max in August 2022, 45 days after its theatrical release. However, due to a change of plans, the film was no longer slated to be released in August. On the account of the major changes occurring at Warner Brothers Discovery under CEO David Zaslav, it was initially believed that the film wouldn't be released on the streaming service. The film was released on VOD and then on home video in a natural and timely manner after its theatrical run. Eventually, the film aired on HBO and HBO Max in September 2022, nearly three months after its theatrical release.
