Fernando Colunga appeared in all 3 of the "MarÃa" telenovelas. His roles ranged from the jilted suitor in MarÃa Mercedes (1992), the potential suitor in Marimar (1994), before finally landing the leading role as Luis Fernando de la Vega, the husband of MarÃa la del barrio (1995).
