Frozen II marks only the second time in Disney animation that a princess celebrates a coronation day onscreen, in that case: Anna; the first was Elsa in Frozen - Il regno di ghiaccio (2013). It is also only the third time an animated princess has made the transition to queen. The first Disney animated princess to become sovereign ruler of her nation was Kida from Atlantis - L'impero perduto (2001), although her coronation was entirely off-screen.
