In a strange scene, Colonel Tom Carlsen finds out that he can read minds. He is able to read the mind of nurse Ellen Donaldson (a former host body for the Space Girl), and finds out that she is secretly a masochist. While the film had previously indicated that prolonged contact with the Space Girl had changed Carlsen, this is the first scene which suggests that he has gained the power of telepathy.
