One of the gods at the assembly in Omnipotence City is a Maaori goddess, recognizable at her greenstone ("pounamu") pendant and traditional clothing and chin tattoo ("moko kauae"). Director Taika Waititi is Maaori and is from New Zealand, where Maaori people are indigenous.
