In the final lightsaber duel between Luke and Vader, when Vader learns that Princess Leia is his daughter and Luke's long lost twin sister he says "If you will not turn to the dark side. Then perhaps she will." Although Princess Leia doesn't turn to the Dark Side, this does loosely foreshadows Star Wars - Il risveglio della Forza (2015), when Ben Solo, son of Leia and Han, turns to the dark side.
