Producer Ari Handel agreed that this movie broke fresh ground, re-envisioning the biopic. He commented: "I'm hoping the film allows people to let go of some of their conceptions about what a biopic is, and should be. Pablo Larraín takes you on a different kind of trip, exploring a wider range of emotions."
