Throughout the film, "Colonel" Tom Parker narrates "his side of the story" on his deathbed to absolve himself from any wrongdoing he has done to Elvis. However, many things in the film show him as an unreliable narrator. What he says and what the audience sees generally contradict one another. Furthermore, history has revealed Parker as someone not to trust.
