The movie originally opened with Ryan Bingham in a plane being asked by a flight attendant if he wants "the cancer" (he mishears her question "do you want the can, sir?"). The line confused the test audience, who thought the rest of the movie was going to be a drama about cancer, so the scene was placed later in the movie.
