This is the first full-on, big-screen, theatrical biographical film about Elvis Presley. Other Elvis-related films were either made-for-television biographical films, small theatrical biographical films, theatrical films partially related to other figures such as President Richard Nixon, or documentaries. Despite the narration being done by someone else, the film generally focuses on Elvis.
