The Vani Jairam, Asha Bhosle war was heating up in the mid 70s. Naushad needed Asha to sing a duet with Vani titled "Teri dulhan badi jaadoogarni". Asha refused point blank as she hated Vani. Naushad decided to record Asha's portion first and get Vani to record her part later. As Asha was leaving the studio, Vani was seen entering. The muscians refused to record with Vani Jairam at that session and with the same song. They feared angering Asha Bhosle and losing their jobs. Naushad was so stressed over the situation. He had to take Vani to another studio and get her portion recorded there.
