The scarecrow is completely inaccurate with the Pythagorean Theorem. In reality, it is the sum of the squares of both legs of a right triangle that is equal to the square of the hypotenuse, or A2+B2=C2. Isosceles triangles have no such relationship (unless they are also right triangles).
