Several actors have returned to reprise their roles from the Skywalker saga: Ewan McGregor (Obi-Wan Kenobi), Joel Edgerton (Owen Lars), Bonnie Piesse (Beru Lars), Hayden Christensen (Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker), Jimmy Smits (Bail Organa), Temuera Morrison (veteran clone trooper), Ian McDiarmid (Emperor Palpatine), Liam Neeson (Qui-Gon Jinn) and Anthony Daniels (C-3PO). Daniels and McDiarmid are the only actors from the original trilogy to reprise their roles and Daniels is the only actor from Guerre stellari (1977) to play the same character in this series.
