Sonic often calls Robotnik "Eggman" after the villain' s return. While it was always "Dr. Eggman" in Japan, it was initially an insult in the US release of Sonikku adobenchâ (1998) before the name was universally retconned and established post-Sonikku adobenchâ 2 (2001).
