This is the second Agatha Christie movie in the Brabourne-Goodwin franchise. Originally titled "Murder on the Nile" so as to connect it with Assassinio sull'Orient Express (1974), the first Christie film in the franchise. Some of the poster artwork for the later film was designed to evoke the earlier film.
