The musical score heard in connection with the Tragedy of Bashtarle is "Una furtiva lagrima," an Italian aria composed by Gaetano Donizetti for the 1832 opera "L'elisir d'amore." According to Yasuhiro Imagawa, the melody expresses one of the series' premises: "the sorrow of others not understanding your true feelings."
