Lucas is not without fault; he has his flaws. He has been extremely protective of Mark, to the point of being over-protective at times. One particular oddity to the show is Lucas never teaches his son how to safely handle a firearm. He also has a tendency to be stubborn and bossy, and has a bit of an inflated ego.
