When his tooth snapped during Helm's Deep filming, Viggo Mortensen was driven to Sir Peter Jackson's dentist in Wellington. He was still wearing his costume and covered in black "orc blood", which he declined to have cleaned off as it would be troublesome for continuity. He was back on set half an hour after the dentist finished with him.
