Sir Michael Hordern notes in his memoir that a scene was interrupted by the loud meowing of a cat somewhere within the set. After a lengthy search a cat and her litter of kittens was located in an inaccessible part of the set construction. The cat was eventually lured out with raw liver but the kittens took much longer to retrieve. The filming delay translated to a $17K loss.
