This is the first film since the original release of Star Wars: Episodio I - La minaccia fantasma (1999) to feature Yoda realized with a puppet rather than via computer animation, as well as the first film to feature Yoda as a puppet since Frank Oz retired from puppetry in the Early 2000s.
