One of two theatrical feature film collaborations of director Bruce Beresford and screenwriter William Boyd. The movies are 'Mister Johnson' (1990) and 'A Good Man in Africa' (1994). Both pictures were filmed adaptations of novels with the first being from the 1939 Joyce Cary novel of the same name and the latter being from Boyd's own novel of the same name as well.
