In the end-credits scene, Venom is transported to a completely different room where he sees Spider-Man and J. Jonah Jameson of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. If he was transported across universes and not just locations, this would explain the lack of the MCU's San Francisco based heroes Ant-Man, Wasp, and Shang-Chi in the Venom movies.
