On this show, Danny Williams got his nickname from his daughter Grace, who called him "Danno" because she could not pronounce "Daniel" (or Danny, by inference) when she was learning to speak. On Hawaii Five-O (1968), no reason was specifically given for why Danny's nickname was Danno, and he did not have a daughter.
