Kate Winslet had a few simple rules for Leonardo DiCaprio concerning their kissing scenes: no coffee, no onions, no garlic and no smoking prior to shooting. DiCaprio agreed, but would then proceed to do exactly all those things on purpose. Winslet affectionately nicknamed him "Stinky Leo" on set. In addition, he would occasionally slip his tongue in during their kissing scenes, just to make her laugh.
