Notoriously, Khrushchev told a deputation of Westerners at Moscow's Polish embassy in 1956, "History is on our side! We will bury you!" (Sergo Beria claimed that his father's notoriety was a result of lies spread by his political enemies such as Khrushchev, although this is not widely accepted.)
