The show was up and against Hill Street giorno e notte (1981) with strong male demographics, and this series was almost an all female cast, therefore, both David Jacobs and Michael Filerman had to find a way in order to build up a male cast, and fortunately, he hired Kevin Dobson, before William Devane, would join the cast, the following year.
