For the second time, Brian Cox plays a character that was played by another actor (Timothy Spall) in a film that won Best Picture (The King's Speech), and that earned another actor (Gary Oldman) an Academy Award. Previously, Cox had played Hannibal Lecter in Manhunter, a role that won Anthony Hopkins his Academy Award in The Silence of the Lambs, which also won Best Picture.
