For the lesbian love scenes between the two female leads, the Director took steps to ensure privacy and comfort for the actresses: Only a female crew member holding the boom microphone was present. All other crew members were asked to leave the set. The scenes were filmed with a remote controlled camera. No visitors were allowed near the set. All male crew members had a day off. The bathroom set in Hideko's room was mused as a resting area for the actresses to relax between takes. The bed scenes were shot during the early stages of the production as Park thought it was stressful and burdensome for everyone. During pre-production, the scenes were choreographed and discussed between Park and the actresses while fully-dressed. Kim Tae-ri said she felt slightly insecure about performing the simulated lesbian love scenes, but Kim Min-hee reassured and energized her.
