Just before the credits, there is a "where are they now" rundown of the people featured in this movie. One of the entries is: "Jared Fogle continues to inspire millions with his will power and giant pants." In fact, three years after this movie was released, allegations surfaced of Fogle having inappropriate contact with children, and in 2015, he pled guilty to one count of traveling to engage in sexual conduct with a minor and one count of receiving child pornography. He was sentenced to 188 months in federal prison. His lawyers unsuccessfully tried to argue that he had replaced his compulsive eating disorder with a "sex addiction"--a diagnosis that was dismissed by other scientific and legal experts as dubious. After his incarceration, a Florida Subway franchisee with whom Fogle had an affair claimed publicly that she had years before tried to alert Subway's corporate management about warning signs that Fogle had pedophilic interests, but her concerns had been dismissed.
