The only film in the Cars franchise not to be released the same year as a film based on the "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" book series, of which Cars 2 (2011) was released same year as Diario di una schiappa 2 (2011), and Cars 3 (2017) released the same year as Diario di una schiappa: Portatemi a casa (2017).
