Director Martin Bourboulon's father, Frédéric Bourboulon, was a producer on Bertrand Tavernier's Eloise, la figlia di d'Artagnan (1994). Martin was 14 years old when his father took him to visit the set. The memories of that time where one of the reasons why Bourboulon accepted producer Dimitri Rassam's invitation to direct this film.
