This is the first Star Wars movie to feature both Ewan McGregor as young Obi-Wan Kenobi as well as his real-life uncle Denis Lawson as Wedge Antilles. Lawson was asked to appear in Star Wars - Il risveglio della Forza (2015) but declined.
