(at around 1h 19 mins) Rose's dress during the sinking of the Titanic is lavender. Earlier in the movie, during a scene of afternoon tea, Rose's mother can be heard commenting that Rose had chosen lavender as the colour of her to-be bridesmaids' dresses because her mother hates the colour. This could be a metaphor for Rose choosing Jack and rejecting the life chosen for her by her mother.
