Near the beginning of the movie the mobsters are betting on an animal fight between a mongoose and a rattlesnake. The mongoose is bitten and dies so the one group of mobsters loses. But mongooses have recently been proven to be immune to snake venom, therefore not only would the mongoose not have lost due to a single snake bite, but to bet against one of the animal kingdom's best snake killers is a foolish bet.
