Due to a scheduling error, the scene where Gabriel Silva meets with his professor in a boxing gym had to be shot in 20 minutes flat. The scene is four pages long and runs a full three minutes in the film. When the crew arrived to set they were told the gym's loudspeakers would be turned on in 20 minutes, thus making the audio after that point unusable.The scene was completed by shooting Gabriel and Dr. Peters' closeups as quickly as possible and in one take. After the loudspeakers were turned on, the director shot the additional angles and used overdubbing to fill in the unusable audio. Director Drew Stewart believes the scene came out wonderfully.
