Jared Leto and Jack Nicholson have played the Joker. Years ago, Leto also made a reference to what was arguably Nicholson's most famous role as Jack Torrance, in Shining (1980). It was in the music video for Thirty Seconds to Mars' song "The Kill", where Leto was seen throwing a ball violently at a wall in a hotel.
