To date, Pryce is the only Gym Leader that Ash has defeated via forfeit. Conversely, Ash himself has lost to a Gym Leader via forfeit five times: Twice to Brock, twice to Sabrina and once to Blaine. In two of these cases (Brock and Sabrina), Ash still received the badge despite forfeiting. In addition, Ash also lost to Fantina via forfeit in Pokémon: Dancing Gym Leader! Enter Melissa!! (2008), though it was not an official gym battle.
