The storyline and characters from the film are largely based around the backstory of The Nest, a haunted attraction located in Phoenix, Arizona. Although the storyline and locations from the film are almost identical to those presented in the narrative of The Nest, the film didn't use any of the sets or props used by the attraction on which it is based.
