The scene where Annie gets out of Ted's car and walks down the road in a red dress as Ted slowly drives by and shouts at her, could be a direct reference to the scene in Clueless (1995) where Cher Horowitz gets out of Elton's car and walks down the road in her red Alaïa dress.
