The Duffer Brothers had no idea that the character of Eddie Munson would become so popular between the release of Season 4 Volume 1 and Volume 2. Recalling the public outrage at the deaths of other fan-favorite characters like Barb, Bob, and Alexei, the Duffers contacted actor Joseph Quinn between releases and told him to "prepare yourself."
